Happy Halloween!

Halloween in the Village is legendary, so I was really excited to get out there and get some photos. I started with the children's parade.

Then the sun went down and the grown-ups came out to play.

And of course, we can't forget the obligatory picture of Josh and me in our awesome vampire costumes. The fangs looked so real that several people asked me if I had filed my teeth or gotten implants.

Finally, here is a rather disturbing picture of Josh *mostly* out of costume:

Eve Maternity

Yesterday I photographed Eve, who is expecting her first child and absolutely glowing. If the baby's a girl, Eve and Josh are going to name her Marley-Simone, for two of their favorite musicians. Eve's due date is Christmas Day, which means this lucky girl is always going to be on vacation for her birthday! I can't wait to see Eve, Josh, and little Marley-Simone for newborn photos in January!

Mark + Phoebe

This Sunday morning I met up with Mark and Phoebe, a sweet couple with a romantic story. After going to high school together in Singapore, they reconnected ten years later in New York. I met them through Mark's brother Chris, who gave them a portrait session as a birthday present - their birthdays are within a week of each other! (Chris popped in toward the end of the session and we got some adorable sibling photos.) Mark and Phoebe were a little shy at first, but they warmed up quickly, and they were so sweet to each other! Happy birthday, guys, and thanks for a fun session.

And here's the sibling photo!

Washington Square on a Friday Afternoon

The park is always full of interesting people, and yesterday afternoon was no exception. Here are a few of them:

I also went to the dog run, where the interaction among the many people and animals is amazing.

In particular, I followed the adventures of this friendly giant of a sheepdog. I never did know who his actual owner was, but it seemed like every dog owner in the park petted him at least once.

Some more typical Washington Square sights:

Josh Portraits

After five years together and a over a year of marriage, I finally got my hubby to pose for portraits. And it was totally worth it. Isn't he handsome?
