The NYC Gay Pride Parade is quite an event. It runs down Fifth Avenue for fifty blocks, and this year it drew a million spectators. With my handy press pass, I got to walk with the parade inside the barricades instead of outside. It was a real experience, and I got some amazing photos. Here are just a few of them:

The NYC Gay Pride Parade started to commemorate an anti-gay riot that took place in 1969 at a gay bar in Greenwich Village. These are the people who were actually there that night. They were greeted by some of the loudest cheering I've ever heard.
